 Cottrell’s Sugar Shack Cabin is located just 10 miles by road from downtown Petersburg, Alaska. Our private waterfront Alaskan cabin (we call it our guest house) is located along Wrangell Narrows which is the main passage for commercial fishing boats, the Alaska ferry, barges, and Alaska cruise ships navigating to Petersburg.
The Sugar Shack is a great place to take that 2nd Honeymoon or celebrate a special anniversary.
 Cottrell’s Sugar Shack is a small home with a living room, a well equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. One bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and the other has a shower. There is an outdoor grill, a washer and dryer, and telephone for local/credit card calls, providing an ideal Alaskan experience for one or two couples. Since we don’t have a television at the cabin, you will find evening or early morning walks an enjoyable diversion from everyday routines.
Transportation from the Petersburg airport or Alaska ferry terminal will be provided with a stop at the grocery store if you wish.
 Located approximately 3 miles from our cabin is Papke’s Landing, where a small State of Alaska boat docking facility with an adjoining boat launch gives you access to Wrangell Narrows. Begin your Alaskan vacation adventures exploring the bays and coves around Petersburg or observing the many bald eagles that frequent the area looking for scraps of Alaska salmon and halibut brought in to the landing by sport fishing enthusiasts.
